Hi and welcome to Doubting Timmy.

If you haven’t guessed, the title of this site is a play on Doubting Thomas, which is often used as a pejorative term nowadays.  But I think that a little doubt and skepticism can serve humanity well, and I’m advocating that everyone learn to use critical thinking and ask questions. I understand that you might not want to be a Doubting Thomas, but consider being a Doubting Timmy.

My former website, www.thegodcritic, was a place where I mainly dealt with the subject of atheism and religious criticism, but I wanted to create a place online where I was more free to write about skepticism and free thinking in general instead of just focusing on religion.

And of course, I wanted to have some fun doing it, which is why I wanted to add some comics to the mix.

And now the disclaimer: I went to art college so that alone should tell you how smart I am. Sure, I read a lot and try to spend more time thinking than sitting in front of the TV, but as for impressive degrees and professional credentials, well, I ain’t got ‘em.

I’m just a regular Joe who’s trying to figure out the world before his time is up, and hopefully, have a little fun in the process.
