Don’t Bother Me With The Facts

I know that this comic is a bit of a cheap shot, however, after reading a lot of postings online by believers, and talking to a few, I can’t help but think that this is how many prefer to deal with skepticism and scientific fact. The old line, “Don’t bother me with the facts, my mind is made up,” comes to mind.
This comic was also inspired by the many churches offering Vacation Bible School this summer. I think it’s rather sad that even now in the 21st century, that parents are still sending their kids off to learn these stories as if they’re historical fact, and I wonder how many of those kids will eventually grow up and shed away this nonsense, and how many will continue to cover their ears, scream LA LA LA, I can’t hear you, until they themselves have children and start the process all over again.
